Following
his incredibly successful debut show
‘Hal’ at the Edinburgh Festival 2002 for which he was nominated for the
Perrier Best Newcomer Award, Hal Cruttenden previews his show for this year’s
festival. He’ll be continuing to talk about himself but also hoping to offer
new insights into the precarious state of the world. (This won’t be highbrow
stuff as Hal can’t be bothered to do the reading!) If you doubt his quality,
here are some of the reviews from last year’s show.
“I wouldn’t even bother trying
to write him a bad review as he’d probably frame it and make a bloody good gag
out of it.” - Three Weeks *****
“Hal is an unqualified delight.
Witty, charming, original and incredibly funny.” - The Scotsman
“A delightful surprise to many,
with his warm-hearted, quick- witted observations about being a camp, middle
class heterosexual.” - Daily Telegraph
“His performance, timing and
manner is perfect.” - The List
“Cuddly.” - The Sunday
Times
